Hospitality Management Students Gain Valuable Insights at La Prima Coffee Roasters Tour

Students in the Hotel, Restaurant, Tourism, and Event Management program had the opportunity to embark on a valuable field trip to La Prima Coffee Roasters, a renowned local coffee roastery. The tour provided students with a unique opportunity to learn about the coffee-making process from bean to cup, gaining invaluable insights into the industry.

Punxsutawney Phil and Gobbler’s Knob to be “On Ice”

Indiana University of Pennsylvania’s Academy of Culinary Arts Ice Carving Club will be creating its annual tribute to Punxsutawney Phil and Groundhog Day with an ice carving of Phil on Gobbler’s Knob as part of the community Groundhog Day celebration.

Silas Gesser, a senior in Indiana University of Pennsylvania’s Hotel, Restaurant, Tourism, and Event Management bachelor’s degree program from Westmoreland County, has been awarded the prestigious Statler Foundation’s Scholarship of Excellence.
