Indiana University of Pennsylvania will host a benefit for the nonprofit organization Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS at 7:00 p.m. on May 5, 2014, in Waller Hall.
The benefit will consist of IUP music and theater students performing a selection of Broadway songs from “Oklahoma” to “Rock of Ages.”
Tickets are $5, cash only, and can be purchased at the door.
Broadway memorabilia, provided by the Broadway Cares organization, will be auctioned. Items include coffee mugs, oven mitts, iPhone cases, signed posters from Kinky Boots and Newsies, and a 9 to 5 poster signed by Dolly Parton! Raffle tickets are four for $2 or 10 for $5.
The performance is not suitable for children under age 13.
Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS is a program of the Actors' Equity Association, the professional union for stage actors, based in New York City.
