Farheen Mahmood and Julie W. Ankrum co-authored an article describing research exploring the effects of a postcolonial mindset on the accessibility to instructional literature (picturebooks, storybooks, and anthologies/readers) in Pakistan.
The article, “An Investigation of English Children’s Literature in Pakistani Schools (PreK–Grade 3),” was recently published in Early Childhood Education Journal.
Mahmood is a doctoral candidate in the Curriculum and Instruction DEd program. Ankrum serves as a professor in the Department of Professional Studies in Education.
