Agreement for Services
The IUP Research Institute (RI) can create Agreement for Services for projects that the RI is the awarded organization. These agreements are with subcontractors (individuals or businesses) that are providing services to the project but are not involved in the design or decision making of the project.
The agreement will include contact information, period of performance, scope of work, payment terms, etc. Agreements are usually for a fixed amount. The Principal Investigator will verify that services were satisfactory and complete before invoices will be paid. Please work with your Post-Award Grant and Contract Specialist (GCS) to begin the process.
Subaward
A subrecipient receives a subaward to carry out a portion of the research project. The subrecipient participates in designing and conducting the research. They retain some programmatic control over how the work is carried out. Typically, a subrecipient is identified in the award documents. Please update the subrecipient’s budget and budget justification, statement of work, and period of performance and submit them to your Post-Award GCS, who will forward them to the appropriate person.
If the subrecipient cannot perform the work, please work with your Post-Award GCS to notify the funding agency and identify another entity to perform the work
