  • Authorized by the Higher Education Act and administered by the US Department of Education, CCAMPIS helps low-income student-parents stay in school and graduate.
  • The project is fully funded by the US Department of Education.
  • IUP was awarded $151,311 every year for four years (2021-25).

Who is eligible?Who is Eligible?

  • IUP student-parents enrolled in at least six credits in an undergraduate or master's level program.
  • Pell grant eligible or an annual family income at or below 250 percent of the federal poverty guideline

What will you receive?

  • Child care scholarship

    • Up to 40-90 percent of total cost covered
    • Up to 50 hours of care. Before- and after-school care permitted
  • Mentoring and coaching

    • CCAMPIS team will encourage you and support your academic goals
  • Resource referrals

    • CCAMPIS team will connect you with university and community resources

What do I have to do?

    • Meet with mentor

      • Each student-parent meets with coordinator to review academic progress
    • Monitor child growth

      Monitor child growth with coordinator

      • Each student-parent works with coordinator to monitor their child's development
  • Attend parent workshops

    Attend parent workshops

    • Each student-parent attends workshops that support parenting
