Kelly Welde Henderson '12, M'13 was selected by Indiana University of Pennsylvania for a 2021 Young Alumni Achievement Award, representing the Eberly College of Business. Henderson earned a 2012 bachelor’s of science degree in marketing and 2013 master’s of arts degree from IUP in employment and labor relations. Kelly is the daughter of James and Nancy Welde, of Reading, and wife of Zachary Henderson. Henderson is vice president, talent program manager for development programs at PNC Financial Services. In her role she manages a team of eight program managers who are responsible for leading early career programs for several client facing businesses at PNC. Her responsibilities include budget planning, performance management strategics, compensation planning and diversity and accessibility ownership. Prior to her work at PNC, she was the university relations coordinator for Vanguard through Randstad. While at IUP, Henderson was the vice president of the Student Marketing Association, president of the Society of Human Resources Management, was a member of the IUP Eberly College of Business Student Advisory Committee, was recruitment chair of Phi Gamma Mu honors business fraternity, was vice chair of the Board of Directors of the Student Co-Op Association, and was on the marketing team for the IP men’s basketball team. She was also the recipient of the Conrad J. Gates Distinguished Service Award given by the IUP Department of Employment and Labor Relations.
