2020 Pittsburgh Asia Consortium Undergraduate Student Research Conference, February 29, 2020

Illustration of three ancient scholarsOn February 29, 2020, Indiana University of Pennsylvania will host the eighth Pittsburgh Asia Consortium Undergraduate Student Research Conference. Undergraduate students are invited to present their research on Asia, and this will be an invaluable opportunity for them to meet other students interested in Asia, hone their presentation skills, and get feedback on their work.

Presentations can be from any discipline, and on any part of geographical Asia, including the Middle East. Most students will present their work in the form of 10- to 15-minute oral presentations as part of a traditional panel with a faculty discussant. Posters and other forms of presentation are also welcome.

All participants and attendees must register, but registration is free. All students must have a faculty sponsor, who need not be present at the conference. Proposals with a title and name of the faculty sponsor must be submitted online by March 1, with an abstract to follow for papers that are accepted. This will be a one-day conference, but arrangements will be made for overnight stays in Indiana, which is a bit over an hour east of Pittsburgh. There are a variety of hotels in town, or student presenters may be able to stay with IUP students.

Paper submissions and conference registrations will being accepted online beginning on December 1, 2019. Learn more about the 2020 Pittsburgh Asia Consortium Undergraduate Student Research Conference at IUP.
