  • Mission of Organization

    The mission of IUP’s Collegiate Chapter of the American Marketing Association (IUP AMA) shall be to educate students about the opportunities available to them within the various facets of the marketing field. The organization will encourage networking between students, faculty, and business professionals. This will be enhanced through tours, guest speakers, networking events, competitions, and coordination with faculty.

    How to Join

    All students are welcome to join IUP AMA. To join, contact the president or vice president (info listed below). Information is regularly updated on our bulletin board in Eberly on the fourth floor outside the Marketing Department. Join us on Crimson Connect, Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook to stay updated on upcoming meetings and events.

    Requirements of Members (Membership Fees, Attendance, etc.)

    Membership dues of $75 (national AMA and IUP AMA) are good for one full year. To join the national AMA, visit and click on Membership to join AMA for $50. Turn in $25 collegiate chapter dues to the treasurer in cash or by a check made out to IUP American Marketing Association.

    Note: All collegiate chapter members must become a member of the American Marketing Association national organization.

    Participation (Point System)

    We want to reward members who help out, so a point system has been established to encourage participation within the organization. Points are granted by volunteering for community service, assisting with fundraisers, and attending social events, meetings, guest speakers, and company tours.

    Members must earn at least eight points per semester to be considered an active member. Members that achieve at least 15 points before the end of each semester will receive a reward.

    Graduating seniors must earn at least eight points per semester to receive a cord for graduation.
