According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention,
- One in five homicide victims are killed by an intimate partner.
- About 41 percent of women and 26 percent of men experienced sexual violence, physical violence, and/or stalking by an intimate partner.
On average, nearly 20 people per minute are physically abused by an intimate partner in the United States. During one year, this equates to more than 10 million women and men. —NCADV
