RAINN Day 2024

The Haven Project and Alice Paul House invite you to the Oak Grove to view the umbrella display and show that you are an ally in the fight against sexual violence.

RAINN (Rape, Abuse, and Incest National Network) is the nation's largest anti-sexual violence organization.  Rainn Day was created to raise awareness and educate students about sexual violence on college campuses. According to RAINN,

  • Every 68 seconds an American is sexually assaulted photo from Rainn Day with umbrellas on display
  • 13% of all students experience rape or sexual assault through physical force, violence, or incapacitation (among all graduate and undergraduate students)
  • More than 50% of college sexual assaults occur in either August, September, October, or November.

Stop by one of the resource tables.  Representatives will be available to talk if you have questions.

Stay Connected with the Haven Project for more on this and other awareness events:

Sexual assault, dating/domestic violence, and stalking are difficult topics. Resources are available. You are not alone.
