Whether you’re a seasoned runner, a casual jogger, or just looking for a great way to give back, this race has something for everyone. The scenic 5K course winds through the beautiful campus, providing a perfect mix of fitness and community spirit. All ages and fitness levels are welcome.

Your participation will directly benefit students pursuing careers in health fields, from nursing and allied health to public health and exercise science. With your support, we can continue to empower the next generation of healthcare leaders.

Proceeds from the race will directly support students of the IUP College of Health Sciences programs. Each year, the proceeds will benefit a different need in the college.

The inaugural event will support our PsyD program in Clinical Psychology. The students in our PsyD program work in IUP’s Center for Applied Psychology and mental health facilities throughout Indiana and neighboring counties. These students provide thousands of hours of mental health services to hundreds of local community members each year.

The goal for this year’s event is to fully endow the Dave LaPorte Memorial Fund, created in honor of a beloved faculty member in the IUP Psychology Department who was respected for his innovative work bringing mental health resources to rural communities. The fund will be used to support our PsyD students as they complete their doctorate and prepare for a career in mental health service.

Event T-shirts are guaranteed for all participants registered by March 22.
