Students from Other Universities, General Public: How to Apply

  • Choose the course you would like to register for the term that you want.

    Complete the online application and pay the $25 nonrefundable application fee.

    You now have two options for submitting your prerequisite course information:

    • Option One: If you are registering for a course that has a required prerequisite(s), please submit an unofficial copy of your transcripts and e-mail them to ce-info@iup.edu.
    • Option Two: If you are registering for a course that has a required prerequisite(s), send an e-mail with the following information to ce-info@iup.edu:
      • Institution name
      • Course title
      • Course description
      • Course number
      • Final course grade

    Please note: Students taking courses for teacher certification and/or prerequisites for graduate school are required to submit official college and high school transcripts.

    The Office of Extended Studies will process your application, enroll you in your class, and contact you by e-mail with information about accessing your student account information and online class.
