    Biography/ Professional Experience

    Nicole Dann-Payne is a registered dietitian and licensed dietitian-nutritionist by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. She is also a board certified sports dietitian by the Commission on Dietetic Registration. Additionally, she is a certified health and wellness coach through ACSM-endorsed WellCoaches. Nicole has been an adjunct faculty member of IUP’s Department of Food and Nutrition since fall 2010, where she has taught a variety of courses. During summer 2013, Nicole became the FDNT faculty director of IUP Sports Performance Nutrition Services, which serves IUP collegiate athletic teams. Recently, she assisted in directing and managing the operation of a new “fueling station” for IUP’s athletes. She teaches FDNT 245 Sports Nutrition and the newly added FDNT 445/545 Advanced Sports Nutrition.

    Since 2016, Nicole has been working for Indiana Regional Medical Center’s Institute for Healthy Living, where she works as an outpatient dietitian, and for IRMC’s Corporate Wellness team, where she works as a wellness coordinator and health coach. Through IRMC, Nicole is also able to provide community nutrition education and sports nutrition services. In 2018, she provided sports nutrition guidance for a client who swam across Lake Erie.

    Since 2008, Nicole has also served as an assistant cross country and track and field coach at Marion Center Area High School. Along with being a coach, Nicole has assisted athletes she coaches with their nutrition, along with planning and packing team meals for state championship competitions. In 2018, Nicole assisted coaching the Marion Center girls’ cross country team to the Single A PIAA State Championship winning team title.
