I graduated in May 2005 from the IUP Geography and Regional Planning Department. The atmosphere in the department allowed for me to get a hands-on understanding of the physical and built environment. The department has a deep connection to the community that lets students put their knowledge to work. The professors have a dedication to the students first, taking time not only in class but also outside of class so the student truly understands the topics at hand.
The IUP Geography and Regional Planning Department and what I gained from my education will last a lifetime. The department will help any student not only in a career involving Geography and Regional Planning, but in any career because of a 360-degree teaching style that makes the student look at the world around them in an objective manner.
