    Biography/Professional Experience: 

    Kalani Palmer, a graduate of Carlow College and the University of Pittsburgh, is an assistant professor in the Department of Human Development, Fashion, and Interior Design. Palmer’s primary area of research focuses on the role of family culture and parent involvement in supporting academic achievement. Palmer is an applied researcher and evaluator with experience in clinical settings and urban school districts, as well as nonprofit youth- and family-serving organizations.
