College majors may be interested in the various faculty-led Study Abroad Programs, as well as those offered through the Office of International Education.
Credits earned through study abroad are normally applicable toward a Humanities and Social Science degree (students should speak to their advisor about getting courses approved before their time abroad).
There are several credit-awarding programs offered through the College of Humanities and Social Sciences: for example, at Valladolid (Spain), and Nancy (France), as well as the the Oxford Summer Study

The Department of Foreign Languages also participates
in a semester- or year-long study abroad exchange program with the Universidad de las Americas in Puebla, Mexico. While not a faculty-led program, students do work with a departmental faculty advisor to arrange their classes and living arrangements
prior to going on the program. Students take a variety of classes depending on their level of language proficiency, and can usually transfer credits back to IUP to be used for Spanish major and minor requirements. For more information, please contact

The IUP Department of Foreign Languages has a

The Department of Foreign
