Instructional Design Services is announcing the upcoming sessions for the Teaching Online Certificate Course (TOCC). If you complete your chosen session, you will receive a certificate of completion. There are four new sessions.

Each university is limited to 12 seats. Please select only one session. If you do not see an advertised session date on the registration page, it means that session is full and you should select another available session date.
The TOCC provides instructors with a student's perspective, guidance on designing an online course, and instructions for using the various D2L Brightspace tools. The Teaching Online Certificate Course, which is Quality Matters certified, provides a foundation in:
- Creating an effective online course
- Designing and developing an online course (including design, learning outcomes, instructional strategies)
- Building community and fostering communication/collaboration
- Assessment tools in D2L Brightspace and alternative assessment methods (including feedback and rubrics)
- Managing and accessing the online course
