Transfer itube Content to Stream

  • IUP will be transitioned from itube (Kaltura) to Microsoft Stream during the spring 2020 semester. Users with itube content will need to take action to save their files.

For more information on Stream, please take a look at our Microsoft Stream page.

Your content has been downloaded to a secure folder that only you can access. This folder will be available until December 31, 2020. To access the content, please follow the steps to map/connect a drive. If you are not on the IUP network, you will also need to make a VPN connection before mapping the drive.

You will use this path for the mapping, replacing username with your IUP username (please note the direction of the backslashes and the slashes when you type):

    • Windows: \\iupmsd.iup.edu\msddfs\itubearchive\username

    • Mac:smb: //iupmsd.iup.edu/msddfs/itubearchive/username

After you’ve made the connection to your folder, you’ll need to determine what to do with each content item. If you no longer need the file, you don’t have to do anything.

    • If you need to keep the file, but only for your use, you can save it to external storage, or upload the file to Microsoft Stream.
    • If you need to keep the file for internal use (only those with an IUP account), you can upload the file to Microsoft Stream.
    • If you need to keep the file for external use, you will need to use an alternative site (such as YouTube).

    To Access Stream

    1. Log in to your Office 365 account at https://office.iup.edu/.
    2. Click on the Waffle (3x3) icon in the upper left corner. If you don’t see Stream, click All apps, then choose Stream.
    3. To upload your content to Microsoft Stream, select Create, then Upload video.
    4. There are several sections which can be updated during the upload process. You can get more information about a setting by clicking on the “i” icon next to the setting name.
