It was recently announced that IUP will be transitioning from itube (Kaltura) to Microsoft Stream during the spring 2020 semester. Users with itube content will need to take action to save their files.
For more information on Stream, please take a look at our Microsoft Stream page.
For those with itube content created on or before January 15, 2020:
Your content has been downloaded to a secure folder that only you can access. This folder will be available until December 31, 2020. To access the content, please follow the steps to map/connect a drive.
If you are not on the IUP network, you will also need to make a VPN connection before mapping the drive.
You will use this path for the mapping, replacing username with your IUP username (please note the direction of the backslashes and the slashes when you type):
After you’ve made the connection to your folder, you’ll need to determine what to do with each content item. If you no longer need the file, you don’t have to do anything.
If you need assistance with this process, please log an ihelp ticket.
Additional questions regarding the transfer of your content from itube to Stream.
If you have other questions not listed, please log an ihelp ticket.
Can I upload multiple files at one time?
Yes, you can drag multiple files into the upload window, or select them through the ‘select more files’ browser. A separate processing box for each video will be displayed in your browser window. You will need to update the Details, Permissions, and Options on each file, then Publish each file individually.
Can someone else upload my files to Stream?
No. Each user will be responsible for uploading their own files to Stream.
I have content in itube that was created after January 15, 2020. Will those items be downloaded to my itubearchive folder?
IT Services will be completing incremental downloads of itube content throughout the Spring 2020 semester. You will be able to upload your content after it’s downloaded to your itubearchive folder.
You can also download this content on your own by following the Download Media from itube instructions.
