Zoom has replaced Blackboard Collaborate as the university’s supported online meeting tool. Zoom is the leader in modern enterprise video communications, with an easy, reliable cloud platform for video and audio conferencing, chat, and webinars across
mobile, desktop, and room systems.
This method of installing Zoom involves using the Download Client link. You can also install the Zoom app using the Sign in or Host buttons. These two methods will install the application on
your device if it is not already installed.
Use the browser of your choice and enter the address http://iupvideo.zoom.us.
On the Download Center screen, click the Download Client button for Zoom
Client for Meetings. This will download the Zoom client to your desktop. The Zoom client will be placed in your downloads folder.
The install file is displayed differently based on the browser you are using. For example, if you are using Google Chrome, the install file will appear in the lower left corner of the Chrome window. You would then run the installer by clicking on the
up arrow next to ZoomInstaller.exe and select Open. This begins the install.
When the install is completed, the Zoom client will open on your desktop. To experience the standard IUP
Zoom login, select Exit from the drop-down menu next to your name on the Zoom Home Screen.
Double-click the Zoom shortcut on your desktop. Next, click on the Sign In button on the Zoom dialog box. You will next see the Zoom log in box. Click on the Sign In with SSO button.
On the next dialog box, you will need to enter just iupvideo in the text box. The rest of the company domain (zoom.us) is included to the right of the text box. You will next see the IUP Web Single Sign-On Login box.
Enter your IUP computer account username and password.
Both the Zoom desktop client and a web page for launching the Zoom desktop client are displayed. If the Zoom client opens, you will not need the web page. If the Zoom desktop client does not open, you can click on the Launch Zoom link
to open the Zoom desktop client. Using the Zoom client will be the most convenient means to schedule your meetings. Details for scheduling meetings are found in the Getting Started on PC and Mac documentation.
