Please note: The IT Support Center offers limited support for personal mobile devices like smartphones, tablets, and e-readers. The instructions below are provided as a resource to students and employees who wish to set up their own devices.
Student Mobile Devices
IUP uses a downloadable app to deliver settings to your device for email and wireless network access. Please review the Automatic Setup instructions below on how to enroll your device. Once enrolled, all IUP necessary settings (email, wireless, VPN, and recommended mobile apps) will be delivered to your device.
If you are having issues with your mobile device, please make sure that you are keeping its operating system updated. Just as you update the operating system on your PC with Windows Update, or your Apple devices with Software Updater or the App Store,
you must also update the operating system on your smartphone or tablet. You can visit the manufacturer's website for further information.

Employee Mobile Devices (IUP owned)
The Technology Operations Team has developed a standard support model for IUP-owned mobile devices. This allows for an increased support level by technology staff across campus.
For additional information on the standard support model for IUP-owned devices, please log a ticket via ihelp.
All purchases of IUP-owned smartphones must be coordinated through the Accounts Payable Office at 724-357-2516. Please complete the IUP Smartphone Request Form to begin the ordering process (non-smartphone requests should use the IUP Wireless Phone Request Form).
Once the smartphone arrives on campus, it will be delivered to the appropriate technology support representative to be configured as a standard IUP device. After the device is configured, you will be contacted by your technology support representative to complete the final setup of the device.
Only IUP-owned smartphones are supported by IUP technology staff. All IUP-owned smartphones must be billed and managed though the Accounts Payable office. The IUP connection service is only available for IUP-owned devices that have been tested and approved by the IUP Technology Operations Team. The purchase of IUP-supported smartphones and the IUP connection service is only available for faculty and staff.

(cellular) in order to enroll a device. A valid Apple ID is also required in order to
download apps from the IUP Application Catalog on an iOS device and a valid Gmail account for Android (Samsung, Google, LG) devices.
