On April 6, 2011, the IUP chapter of the Society of Professional Journalistsheld its fifth annual benefit fundraiser at the Brown Hotel in downtown Indiana.
Performers included headliner Jeff Kelley, an award-winning bluesman from Clymer; former IUP SPJ president Mike Wilson; and founding IUP SPJ president Bill Harder. Proceeds from the annual benefit go to the Bill Harder Scholarship Fund, created to provide financial support for SPJ members who seek to further their academic and professional careers by attending conferences and workshops.
