Courses That Can Be Applied to the Minor
Latin American Studies minors should note that the only required course for the minor, LAS 480: Latin American Studies Seminar, is only offered once every two years. Students can count no more than 9 credits from the same department or 6 credits within their major.
Nine credits must come from Category A: Exclusively Latin America-Focused courses. Other courses may come from either Category A or Category B: Substantially Latin America-Focused. Some additional classes that are regularly taught that count toward the Latin American Studies minor include:
