We welcome members of our nearby community who want to use our library resources. If you are a member of the local community (and not a student, faculty member, or staff member at IUP) and would like to obtain borrowing privileges for much of our collection, you can acquire a Community Library Card.
You will have access to all circulating books in the library, as well as our video, CD, and audio book collections.
Community Library Cards are limited to Pennsylvania residents who are 18 years of age or older and live in Indiana, Armstrong, or Jefferson counties.
Community Library Cards can be obtained by visiting the I-Card office in the Hadley Union Building (HUB), located at 319 Pratt Drive in Indiana. You must present a current photo ID and pay a $5 fee to obtain your card.
Once your Community Library Card is obtained, you will need to make an appointment with a circulation supervisor to have your account activated. Please call 724-357-4717 or 724-357-5583, or email Joyce Piper (email@example.com).
As part of IUP’s work to limit the spread of COVID-19, all physical facilities of the IUP Libraries are closed at this time. Information about virtual library services and student access to computers is available at IUP Libraries During Coronavirus.
