If you’re placing a standard edition of a textbook on reserve, you can simply submit the normal Book Reserve Form along with the item. However, if you would like to submit a textbook for reserve where the front cover of the book reflects one of the following statements, you will need to obtain written permission from the publisher:
- Instructor’s Edition
- Instructor’s Review Copy – Not for Sale
- Instructor’s Evaluation Copy – Not for Sale
- Examination Copy
- Not for Resale
When making your request to the publisher, please include the following information:
- Your name
- Title of the book
- Author
- Name of the course and course number
- Reference that the textbook will be circulated at the Indiana University of Pennsylvania through the Stapleton Library, Reserve Department
- Reference how long you would like the textbook to remain on reserve (example: semester, academic year, indefinitely)
- Number of students registered for your course
Once the permission is received, please include it along with the textbook and your Book Reserve Form to be processed.
