Actor Bill Van Horn will meet with 8–12 IUP Theater majors to explore acting challenges specific to stage productions. There is not a limit to the number of individuals who are able to audit; if you are interested in acting and the theater, be sure to come and learn from one of the best.
Presented as part of Professor Jason Chimonides special topics course on playwright/director collaboration, actor Bill Van Horn will be meet with individuals interested in theater, writing, playwriting, adaptation and interpretation, and the playwright/director collaborative process. Presented as the culmination of an ArtsPath artist residency with professional literary artist PJ Piccirillo working with seventh-grade students of English teacher Jeanne Mitsko. Students will have seen the previous evening’s performance of Around the World in 80 Days, a play adapted from the great classic by Jules Verne by playwright Mark Brown for Walnut Street Theatre. They will have the opportunity to ask various questions about the script, production, collaboration, etc.
