The first great rock musical and a milestone in Broadway history, this highly awarded musical is exuberant and unapologetically open as young Americans in the 1960s search for peace and love in a turbulent time. With unbridled energy and unwavering truth, Hair asks its actors to assume several different characters through the course of the piece, sometimes during the same scene. It includes rock music, borrows heavily from mass media, and frequently breaks down the invisible “fourth wall” to interact with the audience.

Hair contains brief nudity as well as strong language and situations to which some audience members may object. It is not recommended for children.
