Written by acclaimed playwright Qui Nguyen, She Kills Monsters tells the story of Agnes as she leaves her childhood home in Ohio following the death of her teenage sister, Tilly.
Agnes finds Tilly’s Dungeons & Dragons notebook and stumbles into the imaginary world that was Tilly’s refuge. Filled with discoveries, action, and monsters of all shapes and sizes, She Kills Monsters “will slash and shape shift its way into your heart.” —The New York Times
Nguyen is an award-winning playwright, screenwriter, and cofounder/co-artistic director of the OBIE Award-winning Vampire Cowboys Theatre Company of New York City. With many plays and honors under this belt, Nguyen knows how to put on a show.
The play is directed by Michael Hood.
She Kills Monsters contains themes, violence, and language to which some audience members may object. It is not recommended for younger children.
