This workshop will provide a review of the medications that are currently approved by the FDA for treatment of addiction. The medications for alcoholism and opioid dependence will be described as to their mechanism, success rates, how administered, compliance issues, side effects, and potential for abuse. MAT as a "Best Practice" will be discussed to address how to implement this modality in the most efficient manner.
