An IUP graduate served as an Executive/Entrepreneur in Residence for the
Eberly College of Business and Information Technology on Thursday, October 7, 2010.
Linda Musthaler, cofounder and a principal analyst with Essential Solutions Corp., addressed students in both the Management Information Systems and the Technology Support and Training departments. She also met with departmental faculty and administration and met several students for lunch. Her husband, Brian, also a 1980 IUP graduate, joined her via teleconference.
Musthaler presented information about her career path and work experiences in the following classes: Analysis and Logical Design and Business Systems Technology, Enterprise Architecture Hardware Support Solutions, and Informations Systems: Theory and Practice.
She earned a bachelor’s degree in Applied Mathematics from IUP in 1980. She has been working in Information Technology since 1981. Prior to cofounding Essential Solutions Corp., Linda served as vice president of Currid & Co. for more than fourteen years. She is also a contributing columnist for Network World magazine and writes Network World Technology Executive, a weekly e-newsletter, according to the corporation’s website.
Brian, a principal consultant with the corporation, earned a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from IUP in 1980. He has been working in IT and business operations since 1981, according to the site.
The Eberly Executive/Entrepreneur-in-Residence seeks to bring executives and entrepreneurs to the business college to provide insight, support, and advice to students.
