Wong Doe to Perform Mozart at Chatham University

IUP Piano faculty member Dr. Henry Wong Doe will perform Mozart's “Piano Concerto No. 23 in A, K. 488” with Ensemble Ripieno at Chatham University in Pittsburgh.

The concert will be held at the James Laughlin Music Center, Chatham University, on Sunday, October 30, 2011, at 7:00 p.m.

Ensemble Ripieno is a chamber orchestra made up of graduates from Duquesne, Carnegie Mellon, and Pittsburgh universities. The leader of Alia Musica Pittsburgh, Federico Garcia, will be conducting.

This all-Mozart event marks Ensemble Ripieno's debut concert and will also include Mozart's “Horn Concerto No. 2,” “Sinfonia Concertante for Violin and Viola,” and “Serenade for Winds.”

Admission is a suggested donation of $8, $5 for students.
