You are invited to dance for 24 hours during the Hawk Rock on March 30, 2012.

The Hawk Rock is a 24-hour dance-a-thon that runs from 9:00 p.m. on March 30 to 9:00 p.m. on March 31 at Kovalchick Convention and Athletic Complex. This event is run by the Hawk Rock Committee, an IUP student organization.

The goal of the Hawk Rock is to raise money to fight hunger and homelessness in Indiana County. All of the proceeds of the Hawk Rock will go to three local nonprofit organizations: ICCAP, Community Kitchen, and Family Promise.

In order to dance in the event, one must make a minimum donation of $20. This donation will get each dancer a t-shirt and food throughout the event from local Indiana restaurants. Students, faculty, and staff are encouraged to put together teams of dancers for this event. Teams, individuals, or pairs that raise $100 over the minimum donation will be awarded time to dance on stage and will be featured on the jumbotron.

The 24 hours will consist of much more than just dancing. There will be dodgeball, zumba, face painting, volleyball, entertainment, and much more. Are you ready to take the 24 hour dancer challenge? Register online.

Spectators are also encouraged to attend the Hawk Rock. A donation of $5 gets you one-time admission, while a $10 donation gets you a t-shirt and admission for the entire event. Nonperishable food items will also be collected.
