I Used to Have a Handle on Life, But It Broke!

Posted on 10/1/2012 10:57:40 AM

The IUP Center for Teaching Excellence presents this Saturday workshop on October 27, 2012, in Ackerman 116 from 8:30 a.m.–2:30 p.m.

Feeling stressed out? You’re not alone! The feeling of having too little time and too much stress is a common denominator for faculty in higher education. This workshop will provide you with proven strategies to help you work smarter, not harder; find personal time; and enjoy your job more. Learn to take control of time and stress before they take control of you (and have fun doing it)!

Learner Outcomes

As a result of this workshop, participants will be able to:

  • Identify time stealers and stress producers
  • Set and prioritize personal and professional goals
  • Communicate effectively and deal with difficult people
  • Use strategies to actively manage thinking and behavior to reduce stress and increase productivity (personally and professionally)
  • Develop a personal action plan for time and stress management

Presenter: Shari Robertson

A continental breakfast and light lunch will be provided.

Please RSVP online by Wednesday, October 24, 2012.

You will receive a registration confirmation notice via e-mail.

This workshop is for IUP faculty and teaching assistants only.
