Glisan Participates in Scholarly Debate in Modern Language Journal

Eileen Glisan, Department of Foreign Languages, has published an article in the summer 2013 issue of Modern Language Journal.

Glisan’s article, “On Keeping the Target Language in Language Teaching: A Bottom-up Effort to Protect the Public and Students,” is one of seven appearing in the Perspectives section titled “Requiring a Proficiency Level as a Requirement for U.S. K-12 Teacher Licensure.”

One issue of the journal each year features a scholarly debate on a topic of current interest and importance and invites a group of professionals in the language field to contribute to the discussion.
