IUP Trumpet Professor and Students attend Orvieto, Italy Trumpet Festival

Orvieto Trumpet EnsembleKevin Eisensmith, professor of Trumpet at IUP, recently returned from a one-week trumpet festival held in Orvieto, Italy. Accompanying him were six of his trumpet students, including: Nicole Gillotti (Reading), Kyle Gossard (Portage), Rebekah Hiravi (Hollsopple), Shannon Shaffer (Brookville), Meagan Shaw (Brookville), and Mason Stiver (Punxsutawney). All are Music Education majors at IUP.

Touring the streets of RomeDuring the festival, Eisensmith and the students participated in daily rehearsals, clinics, and master classes and performed in three different concerts. Following the festival a day was spent touring Rome before returning to the United States.
