Local Artists Olson and Wyant Contribute to University Museum Benefit Gala

Chuck Olsen Local artists Chuck Olson (right) and Gary Wyant (below) have contributed works to the University Museum gala benefit happening Saturday, September 21, 2013. The University Museum board of directors and President and Mrs. Michael Driscoll invite you to join us for this festive evening of music, dining, dancing, and art.

Olson, IUP alumnus and locally based artist, has made three of his paintings available to the University Museum for its gala benefit auction. Olson has been named a Master Visual Artist 2013 by Pittsburgh Center for the Arts. He has exhibited extensively in the United States and in France, Italy, and Japan.

His work is owned by major corporations, including UPMC Health Systems, Highmark Blue Cross-Blue Shield, Alcoa, Hewlett Packard, and Hilton Hotels. Olson is shown, in the photo above, in his Philadelphia Street studio with “Elm Street,” one of his paintings being auctioned at the museum gala, “Masks, Music, a Night in Venice.”
