Learn the sound planning skills needed to prepare yourself for the grant
writing experience, how to identify appropriate grant funding opportunities,
and the basic structure of a grant proposal.
You will also learn how to identify
and use research, evaluation techniques, and budgeting to effectively
communicate goals and objectives in a clear and concise manner. Special
emphasis will be placed on how to develop partnerships and community agencies,
sustainability plans for your program/project, and tips on skillful writing.

with over 15 years combined experience in grant development, writing, and
administration working with public and private schools, nonprofit agencies,
community- and faith-based groups, and for-profit companies. She has
successfully written grant proposals to federal, state, and city/county
government and corporate and private foundations for projects and initiatives
related to work in the fields of K-12 and post-secondary education, workforce
development, manufacturing, technology, engineering, biotechnology, energy,
