Principal investigator Phillip Neusius and coprincipal investigator Beverly Chiarulli received an award of $88,587 for the continuation of the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation PennDOT Highway Archaeological Survey Team program in 2014–15.

The program is designed to assist PennDOT by conducting small archaeological surveys on DOT projects throughout the Commonwealth. The funding will be used to fund an assistantship for students in the MA in Applied Archaeology program to work with PennDOT cultural resource professional staff on these projects. In addition, PennDOT provides internships for other graduate and undergraduate students each summer.
