
The School of Graduate Studies and Research is pleased to announce that Yongtaek Kim, Department of Foreign Languages, received two funding awards: (1) Institutional Project Support Small Grant Program ($24,387) from Japan Foundation, New York, and (2) Salary Assistance Grant for Japanese-Language Courses ($20,000) from Japan Foundation, Los Angeles.
Thanks to these two grants and the support of the College of Humanities and Social Sciences, a full-time Japanese instructor could be hired in 2013–2014 and teach new courses, such as Anime and Japanese Pop Culture.
