Two scholarships are available through the PASSHE Foundation: The Fitz Dixon Memorial Scholarship and the PASSHE Board of Governors
Chair, Guido M. Pichini, Endowed Scholarship. These scholarships are based on academic
achievement and financial need, student volunteerism, and leadership
In addition to filling out applications for the scholarships, applicants for the Fitz Dixon Memorial Scholarship must write an essay of approximately 500 words on “Volunteerism: The Cornerstone of Civic Responsibility,” and for the Guido M. Pichini Scholarship, an essay of no more than 500 words is required regarding “Education is the most powerful weapon you can use to change the world,” a quote by Nelson Mandela.
Applications can be picked up in the IUP Office of Service Learning, 301 Pratt Hall, and must be postmarked no later than Friday, May 16, 2014, to be considered.
