In cooperation with the IUP Chapter of the National Art
Education Association (NAEA), the University Museum will offer a Bright Ideas
Art Workshop for youth in grades 3–8 on Saturday, May 3, 2014, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:30
p.m.
Bright Ideas is designed and led by NAEA members and assisted
by museum board members. Youth attending the workshop will start with a guided
tour of the exhibition “Roots and Wings” in the University Museum.
Returning to
Sprowls Hall, they will create an art project to take home, experimenting with
mixed media techniques inspired by the exhibition’s theme of birds and plant
life.
The free workshop includes a box lunch from campus dining, also
free of charge. For complete information and to register for the workshop,
contact Olivia Mays at naeaiup@gmail.com
or telephone (814) 599-2285.
