Jack Stamp, University Professor 2008–2009, has had a busy sabbatical, with eight guest-conducting appearances and two world premiere performances of original compositions. In addition, he served as a recording producer for two projects.

Early in the Spring 2014 semester, Stamp served as a guest conductor at several high school festivals, with appearances in Pennsylvania, Virginia, Texas, Minnesota, Maine, North Dakota, and Colorado.

His guest conducting travel culminated in a week-long residency at the Woodstock International School in Mussoorie, India, where he presented a concert of his music.

His “Danzon” was premiered by the Concordia College High School Honor Band in early April, and his “Roulettes Deception” was just premiered last weekend at Gustavus Adolphus College.

In addition, he served as recording producer for the University of North Texas Wind Symphony and the Vanderbilt University Wind Ensemble.
