Going Up for Promotion?

Posted on 9/15/2014 3:49:54 PM

Faculty interested in applying for promotion: you won’t want to miss this informal information/promotion box sharing event in room 116, Ackerman Hall, from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 17, 2014.

  • Are you considering going up for promotion in the future?
  • Would you like to see what an IUP promotion box looks like?
  • Have you ever wondered how your colleagues across the university organize and present their accomplishments in a promotion box?

If you responded yes to any of these questions, please plan to attend Box Night on Wednesday, September 17, from 5:00–6:00 p.m. in Ackerman 116.

Faculty from across the university who have recently been promoted will be on hand to share their boxes and talk about how they organized and presented their information. This is an informal event, so please feel free to come and go as your schedule permits. Boxes for associate and full professors will be on display, and light refreshments will be served. No RSVP is necessary.

This event is a special project of Reflective Practice and is sponsored by the Center for Teaching Excellence. Please note that the purpose of this meeting is not to discuss IUP promotion policy or practice. Any questions about the promotion process should be directed to the chair of the University-wide Promotion Committee.
