Changes to D/F Repeat Process Effective Spring 2015

Posted on 9/22/2014 10:20:40 AM

Beginning with spring 2015 registration, the following changes will be made to the D/F repeat process:

  • No forms will be needed to repeat a course from this point forward. The repeat will be applied automatically in Banner and marked on the transcript.
  • Unreported repeats completed prior to spring 2015 are NOT automatic and need to be submitted on the advisor-signed paper course repeat form. These will not be marked on the student’s record until the form is filed.
  • Dean’s permission to re-take a “D” course is no longer required. The duplicate credit problem has been resolved within Banner.
  • Dean’s permission will STILL be required for a student to register for a third graded attempt of the same course or for a course for which a student has previously received an exemption.
  • Per IUP policy, students are STILL limited to six D/F repeats. Repeats beyond six will be marked and averaged into the GPA.
