On September 12, 2014, the IUP Office of International Education took a group of 50 international students to New York City. Students engaged in a range of activities, including city tours, shopping, biking, visiting museums, and more.
We had beautiful weather, and, for most students, this was their first trip within the U.S. We asked students, “What did you enjoy the most about NYC?” Here are a few responses:
“I loved walking on the iconic 7th and the 6th Avenue heading to Times Square enjoying the shops and the architectures.” Mona Albalawi, Saudi Arabia, PhD English Literature and Criticism (photo above taken by Mona Albalawi)
“I enjoyed most the fact the city is so multicultural, there are people from all over the world.” Henrique Barista Barbosa, Brazil, Computer Science (photo above taken by Henrique)
“Enjoying the sunshine and music at Central Park. The delicious Chinese food at Joe’s Shanghai.” Jiawen Zhang, China, Biology
“I enjoyed landscape of NYC.” Pei-Chen Kao, Taiwan, Political Science (photo above taken by Pei-Chen Kao)
“New Yorkers overcame the pain. The city is amazing!” Anderson Sergio De Barros, Brazil, MS Applied and Industrial Chemistry
