Eric Barker, IUP’s MyIUP Portal Administrator, has joined the Web Team as Web Team Project Manager.
He’ll be continuing with his duties of managing the MyIUP portal and is assuming some of the responsibilities of Web Team member Deb Klenotic, who recently left IUP to pursue graduate education. Eric will initially serve as project manager for the Strategic Website Assistance Project, the initiative to redesign all of IUP departments’ program pages to attract potential students more effectively. He’ll also continue to help with the Hobsons prospective student portal, selection of a new mapping tool for the university, and assist with some of the EMC division’s technology needs.
After graduating from Carnegie Mellon in 2003 (and taking a couple of classes at IUP along the way), Eric worked as an IT management consultant with Accenture before joining IUP to stand up MyIUP in the summer of 2012.
