In 2014, Michele Petrucci presented at two Association of International Educators conferences.
In May 2014, Petrucci presented at the NAFSA: Association of International Educators annual conference in San Diego, Calif., with two colleagues (Bucknell University and Smith School of Business at the University of Maryland). The presentation, “Lessons Learned About Restructuring Education Abroad Offices,” was responsive to questions of Education Abroad Office location (physical and reporting). The three panelists offered their varied experiences and strategies in aligning education abroad within the institution and advocating for the resources to support its efforts as well as challenges of space and money.
In November 2014, Petrucci presented at the NAFSA: Association of International Educators Conference (Region VIII) in Williamsburg, Va., with two colleagues (University of Mary Washington and Coppin State University). The presentation, “Thriving Despite Leadership Transition,” was lively and told from the perspective of three institutions that had experienced a great deal of instability during the past decade and were now benefiting from positive and effective leadership. The presentation included dialogue and brainstorming with other international education professionals currently facing leadership challenges.
