The 34th annual Labor-Management Conference,
hosted by the Department of Employment and Labor Relations on Friday,
April 10, 2015, is designed to assist professionals in both
union-organized and other work environments—union members and officers,
attorneys involved in employment matters, labor relations neutrals,
and anyone interested in employment issues. The objective is to give
attendees the opportunity to keep abreast of decisions affecting their
workplaces and current trends in the employment field.
The
theme is “Emerging Issues in the 21st-Century Workplace,” and the
sessions are designed to provide information to professionals from both
union-organized and other work environments—anyone whose
responsibilities include labor relations, or whose interests include
building productive employment relationships in the workplace.
This
conference has an established tradition of offering important updates
on recent legal issues and related rulings, healthcare reform, employee
