Adjusted Website Workflow for Thursday, June 11

Due to a division retreat, content that needs to be published by Friday, June 12, including items for Friday’s IUP Daily, must be submitted no later than 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 11.

News items submitted after that time will be published for Monday’s IUP Daily. 

Get Your Site Ready for the Website Redesign

As noted in our previous news post, the look of the IUP website will be completely revamped during the last week of June. Here are a few things you can do to make sure all of your content is updated and help the process go smoother:

Make Sure You’re Using Quicklinks

Because this update will change the ID number of many pages on the website, it’s important to use quicklinks so that we can avoid broken links when the upgrade is done.

Check Your Summaries

On the new site, you may find that more visitors see your page summaries. Make sure these are up to date.

Check In and then Publish All Content

Any content that is in a checked-in state when we update the site will not move to the new site template. This is true even for pages that are published and currently visible on the site. Basically, any content block without a status of “A”—that is, published—will not get updated to the new design.
