As noted before to all web maintainers, website workflow will shut down for one full week starting at 2:00 p.m. this Thursday, July 9, in preparation for the update of the IUP website design. Any content submitted after that time will not be published until the week of July 20. In addition, IUP Daily will not be published next week.

What will you see after the site update? A great-looking website!

  1. More consistent branding across all media (print, TV, online). The redesign brings the website up to date with the look of our printed materials, making for a better experience for prospective students.
  2. A responsive site that adapts to screen sizes, large or small. Responsive websites adapt to the size of their visitors’ screens, making them work well on everything from cell phones to large, high-density displays. This approach allows us to offer our full site on mobile devices, without having to maintain a separate mobile site.
  3. Easier page arrangement for web maintainers. Our current template restricts where certain elements (like news feeds) can be placed. The new design adopts Ektron PageBuilder technology, which provides a more flexible interface for placing elements onto page layouts.

A website update seminar will take place at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 22, in Beard Auditorium, Stouffer Hall. This seminar, open to all web maintainers, will review the changes that have taken place and how website editing will be affected. Please plan to attend!

Web maintainer training sessions will begin the following week. These new training dates will be announced shortly, so keep an eye on the Web Team news posts for more information.
