Eight student presenters shared their experiences of language study, travel abroad, internship, and employment opportunities as the
Department of Foreign Languageswelcomed new and returning students to another academic year.
thought-provoking presentations, a Programs and Activities Fair provided
students with additional information about the wide variety of curricular and cocurricular
Foreign Languages offerings. The event highlighted the critical need for
increased language proficiency and cultural competence in the 21st century and underscored the potential value added to any degree through engagement
with foreign languages and cultures.
